2024 Genesis Scottish Open tee times, TV coverage, viewer's guide (2024)

Roughly 75 PGA Tour pros and 75 DP World Tour golfers will make up this week's field at the co-sanctioned Genesis Scottish Open in North Berwick, Scotland. Still, there's little doubt that most of the eyes will be on returning champ Rory McIlroy.

Despite coming in as the 2023 victor, McIlroy has something to prove this week, as this is his first event back since his U.S. Open collapse and eventual loss to Bryson DeChambeau at Pinehurst No. 2. Luckily, the Northern Irishman seems to be a fan of The Renaissance Club. He’s only played the Genesis Scottish Open once and won the whole dang thing behind rounds of 64, 66, 67 and 68. A birdie-birdie finish, featuring “one of the best shots” of his illustrious career, capped an impressive one-stroke victory over Scotland’s Robert MacIntyre.

Were he to win this go-around, McIlroy would become the first golfer to go back-to-back at this Scottish event and it would give him quite a boost heading into the next week's Open Championship. But several others in the World top 10 are teeing it up this week and will have a say in how things shake out. They include Xander Schauffele (2022 winner), Ludvig Åberg, Wyndham Clark, Collin Morikawa and Viktor Hovland. Tom Kim will also return on a sponsor's exemption after a T-6 finish last year.

This week's winner will receive 500 FedEx Cup points and a $1.62 million cut of the $9 million purse.
