Today's 30-second IR insight is that to reduce stress as much as possible during earnings season, create a timeline and assign "due dates" to all parties involved. That way, you will minimize the "rush to the finish line" that plagues so many companies and can result in sloppy performance.Investors can tell the difference between companies that prepare well and companies that don't.#irstrategy, #ceoinsights, #cfoinsights, #irprofessionals, #investorrelations

Quo Vadis ShortCast Series connected with Mark Zgutowicz — Sr. Analyst at The Benchmark Company, LLC. Company — to compare notes on The Trade Desk’s #valuation and examine the main question on a lot of investors' minds: If #TTD appears to be a bit overvalued at ~$72/share, what explains the gap between our valuation model and what the market sees? One thing is for sure: #TTD has top leadership and is a very well-run business. That might be all the difference anyone needs. But fundamentals always catch up with psychology. When? That's impossible to say. Listen in. Subscribe to #QuoVadis. https://lnkd.in/d37Ed38f

The concept of "Breaking News" has gotten ridiculous. 99% of news is barely news, much less ground-breaking. In the markets, news rarely has a lasting affect on the long-term trend. By the time the news hits, the move is largely already baked in.To better use the news in your investing approach, remove it.#investing #trendfollowing

Today's 30-second IR insight is if you're providing any kind of negative update, go out of your way to ensure you are clear and transparent about why it happened and what you're doing to address it.Now is NOT the time to be cagey or vague - it will blow up in your face with maximum impact.Conversely, if you're articulate and forthcoming, the impact might not be as bad as you think. Some investors will want to "buy the dip" if the story is still solid. #irstrategy, #investorrelations, #cfoinsights, #irprofessionals
