4 local runoff elections Tuesday; 2 races in Calhoun, 2 in Orangeburg (2024)

Voters will head to the polls Tuesday to cast their votes in runoff elections in Orangeburg and Calhoun counties.

Orangeburg County Voter Registration Director Aurora Smalls said that people who voted in the Democratic primary can't participate in Republican primary runoffs, and vice versa.

"And those that didn’t vote can vote. We only have a Democratic runoff," Smalls said.

Voters who did not vote at all in the June 11 primaries can still vote in either a Democratic or Republican runoff on June 25.

Bamberg County Voter Registration Director Athena Moorer said Bamberg County did not have any primary elections that necessitated a runoff.

At the polls, voters will be required to show one of the following forms of photo identification:

• S.C. driver’s license

• S.C. Department of Motor Vehicles ID card

• S.C. Voter Registration card with photo

• Federal military ID

• U.S. passport

Polling places will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
